We stayed from September 4th to July 9th. When booking the hotel, we mentioned that June 9th was my husband's birthday, and the hotel promised a birthday cake. We informed the staff about the birthday on May 9th. We left the hotel at 11:30 am on June 9th, but didn't see any notice from the hotel. We assumed it was busy at check-out time, but when we returned at 5 pm, there was still no notice! We went out for dinner at 5:30 pm and asked the staff again. They said they were busy and would bring it later. We didn't see the birthday cake until we returned to the hotel around 9 pm. It was almost past my birthday, so there was no point in giving anything!
I almost slipped in the basement lift hall near the pool, but my husband helped me. It turned out there was water damage in the floor. I can't believe this would happen in a 5-star hotel!
Check-out was slow and needs improvement.
